Do not CBT a clients experience of racism. Do not reframe it or challenge it. VALIDATE IT. Hear it. Explain to them that it’s not acceptable or fair that they have to experience violence.

Today, I had enough. I got close to the camera, looked my client directly in the eye and said “THAT IS BU****IT! I’m sorry you had to experience that”. I explained that they did nothing wrong and I will ALWAYS be hear you remind them that.
