Delivery Drivers are responsible for ensuring the secure and safe delivery of products from the facility located in Portland, OR to medical and recreational dispensaries in Oregon. In addition, the Delivery Drivers are responsible for chain of custody documentation as well as maintaining compliance of IDOA and ISP regulations. The right candidate will be customer-service orientated have the demeanor to respond to all emergency situations. The Delivery Drivers have strong situational awareness, communication skills and work well with team members. This position reports to the onsite Security Administrator and to the Operational Manager. Driving on highways, express ways and in congested city areas required.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct security and safety inspections of company vehicle
Ensure safe transport of products to dispensaries across the state
May make several stops to multiple locations on one delivery
Securely carry payment back to facility
Operate GPS System
Assist dispensary employees with transition of custody
Responsible for keeping all pertinent documents during delivery
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Comply with systems, including procedural and support documentation
Maintain sufficient fuel levels in vehicle
Maintain digital communication and updates to manager throughout delivery process
Over three(3) years of driving experience (commercial driving experience preferred)
Strong oral communication skills, human relations and interpersonal skills
Candidates must be able to successfully pass a thorough internal and external background check including criminal history check by the OR State Police and FBI with no felony convictions.
Good driving record
Ability to operate GPS systems and read maps
Ability to sit for extended periods.
Ability to follow directives issued verbally and in writing.
