I hesitated to share this article, and for anyone triggered by reading about or viewing surgically graphic material you may want to sit this one out.

This well researched and cited article was infuriating to read, especially in light of what I and my clients know, which is that THE VAST MAJORITY OF TMJ DISORDERS ARE A FUNCTIONAL DISORDER, NOT A STRUCTURAL DISORDER, and that pain free active range of motion can often be restored in a single intra-oral massage session regardless of structural variation or degradation.

If you have experienced this work and relief for yourself please, for the sake of all present and future sufferers, share your experience with your medical and especially dental professionals (along with this article if necessary), they need to hear it!

TMJ disorders affect as many as 1 in 10 Americans and yet remain poorly understood and ineffectively treated. Many common treatments used by dentists lack scientific evidence.

Nearly half of Oregon’s 36 counties still fall into the high transmission rate category for COVID-19, and along with an impending Flu season, the Oregon Health Authority has decided the state still will require masks in health care facilities at least through the respiratory virus season.

The Oregon Health Authority said despite federal relaxation of masking rules, the state still will require face coverings in health care facilities at least through the respiratory virus season.

It is thought that psychedelics might disrupt connections between resting-state brain networks that become ingrained as people ruminate on their pain or fixate on the ever-present threat of it coming back. Castellanos says that for people with persistent pain, their bodies are “practising experiencing pain every day”. Psychedelics might be able to reset those neural pathways.

Drugs best known for their hallucinogenic properties, such as psilocybin, could help people beat the agony of migraines and other painful maladies.

This small scale study none the less showed some incredible results for chronic tinnitus sufferers, and it will be interesting to watch this space as scientists may have struck upon a brand new treatment for this previously resistant condition.

BackgroundTinnitus is a prevalent condition (>10% of the population) affecting the quality of life of 0.5–3% of the population. Although several treatments have been proposed, most of these lack evidence of efficacy in the treatment of chronic tinnitus. Thus, we aimed to evaluate an integrative tr...
