We have been celebrating Black History Month throughout February at The Watermark at The Pearl.

This month, we enjoyed various Watermark University programs, including a presentation by guest speaker Gordon Herman on Aretha Franklin, a weekly overview of the history of hip hop, and a hip hop dance routine led by our Community Life Director, Destiny Wigner. Additionally, we participated in an insightful drum circle session hosted by Grammy-nominated artist Aaron Nigel.

As a grand finale, we have one more significant event scheduled in collaboration with the vibrant community in Portland. We are pleased to invite scholars from Portland State University's School of Gender, Race, and Nations, as well as their Departments of Chicanx/Latinx Studies, History, Psychology, and Sociology, to participate in a Town Hall discussion on "The Black Experience in America."

Today is a wonderful day with Mardi Gras, the serene first evening of Ramadan, and the joyful Lunar New Year! Cheers to all who are celebrating. 💜💚💛
At the Watermark at the Pearl, we had a fabulous time at our Mardi Gras Party. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, colorful decorations, and the irresistible rhythms of festive music. The dancing and joy led everyone to say, "Laissez les bons temps rouler!"

Our Valentine's Day celebration at the Watermark at the Pearl wouldn't be complete without sharing the amazing food we enjoyed throughout the day. At our Sweetheart Dance, we enjoyed all the traditional Valentine's Day sweet treats, from chocolate-covered strawberries and cookies to pastries and, of course, lemon bars for those who don't like chocolate. But for our chocolate lovers, we had an outstanding chocolate tasting before our Valentine's Day Concerts. Our enchanting Garden Valentine's Party featured a Valentine's sample platter with an assortment of treats. We completed the day with a wonderful dinner at The Mark or the W-Lounge. We are excited to share the outstanding menu that our residents are enjoying. 💝💐🍾

Starting with Prosciutto-Wrapped Asparagus, guests can choose between two delicious entrées: Chicken Roulade or Bacon-Wrapped Filet. In addition to these options, our regular menu items will also be available, ensuring an exceptional dining experience. And don't forget to save room for dessert! We have delectable choices like Chocolate Lava Cake and Lemon Posset. 🍷💌🍽️

We immersed ourselves in the enchanting ambiance of the Pearl Room, where an exquisite wine tasting awaited us! Our gathering was a true celebration of the senses, as we shared stories about our favorite vineyards and exchanged captivating tales from our wine journeys. The afternoon featured The Watermark's remarkable off-menu wine selection, showcasing everything from lush, velvety reds to crisp, refreshing whites.

As we savored the wines, rich aromas wafted through the air, enticing our palates with complex notes of berry, spice, and oak. Laughter and lively conversation filled the room, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that fostered genuine connections among fellow wine lovers. The Watermark at The Pearl celebrates the Winter Olympics with our very own Winter Games and exciting watch parties! We experience the joy and laughter with our entertaining Bocce Ball and Balloon Volleyball games. A heartfelt thank you to all who competed for going for the gold in our individual and team sports events. 🥇⛸️⛷️

Exciting Game Day at The Watermark!

We gathered togehter for a unforgettable experience at The Watermark, where we rolled out a spectacular game-day buffet that delighted both sports fans and food lovers alike. Whether you raised your hand for the thrill of the game or the mouthwatering food, one thing was clear: we all gathered here to revel in the joy and camaraderie of the day.

We even caught a couple of guys enjoying their own game of pool while soaking in the excitement of the event!

Additionally, we had a fantastic turnout for our Football Squares, supporting the Watermark for Kids Foundation. Together, we raised essential funds while having FUN!
