So flu is here and the cases are rising according to TDOH. We are among the 32 states that are reporting “very high” cases. Overall the most recent data show there is a 6.5% of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness. That’s nearly double the week prior, at just 3.7%. Tennessee’s “epidemic” baseline for influenza-like illness is only 3.1%.
What does all of this jargon mean? Basically, wash and double wash hands, don’t pick your nose or touch your face😆, and come visit us if you are sick. We have walk-in appts available from 9-4 (lunch is 12:00-1:30) and we have urgent care evening hours from 5p-7p with appointment Monday- Wednesday. You can always just call but we want you to know that you can just walk in as well.

As you now know, Ronda will be joining our team January 5th. She graduated with her MSN in 2006 from WKU with a prior back ground in medical administration . She and her husband Doug have been married for 40 rich years and live in Westmoreland. Her hobbies include gardening in her flower gardens, antiques, estate sales,swimming, and family. Her idea of a wonderful day is planning a family or friend event and then spending time with everyone while together. She loves her patients and has the same desire to care for them with competent attention as we all do here at PM. Let’s welcome her in 2026. It is going to be a big year! We will now be able to see more of you at a convenient time for you with walk in hours from 8-5 on Monday through Thursday and until noon on Friday. We don’t want any of our patients to feel like it is difficult to get an appointment or to be seen when you are sick and have a million things to still accomplish in your day, but know you need to take care of yourself as well.
We look forward to serving you again another year! Have a great last weekend and Friday to get your Christmas shopping done before next Thursday!!!!
