ORH invites proposals for the Rural Population Health Incubator Program, which funds and supports innovative health initiatives in rural Oregon.

Through the program, grantees will:
-Receive up to $10,000 in grant funding
-Join a cohort of rural innovators to share ideas and lessons learned
-Access mentorship, resources, and expert guidance from ORH

Oregon’s Rural Hospitals Recognized by The Chartis Center for Rural Health

As part of National Rural Health Day, thirteen of Oregon’s rural hospitals were honored with 2025 Performance Leadership Awards from The Chartis Center for Rural Health. These awards highlight hospitals performing in the top quartile nationally for quality, outcomes, and patient perspective.

The awards are based on the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®—a comprehensive, objective framework used to assess performance across rural hospitals.

Michael Topchik, Executive Director of the Chartis Center for Rural Health, shared:
“The areas of quality, outcomes and patient perspective are cornerstones of health care delivery across rural America, and this year’s Performance Leadership Award recipients are establishing a standard of excellence for their rural peers to follow.”
