My momma was born on June 4th and she would’ve been 72 this year. 🖤Not a day goes by I want to talk to her, hug her, laugh with her, get annoyed by her, ask her for advice and hear her call me “my Amanda” 🩵 My recital is in honor of her and how much she supported me to become a singer. So here’s to her! I look forward to seeing you all there tomorrow night and singing all my favorite classical pieces with all my heart ⭐️

Hey folks! My recital is coming right up! This Saturday June 8th at Fellowship Hall at the First Congregational Church downtown Portland 🩵 Starts at 7:00, doors at 6:30 💫 here’s a little peak at the program. I’m so excited to share this music with you all. It’s all music that is very dear to me and that I love to sing! Some I’ve sung for years and some I just recently learned! 🎼 Evan Paul will be my accompanist for this recital and we’ve been working very hard to make this a very special night. ✨ I hope you can make it and bask in the beauty of these works in this very special venue. 🎭 Ps. I couldn’t upload my version of me singing the Clair de Lune, just know it’s a different one 😋 Debussy actually wrote 3 versions of Claire de lune! He loves his poet Paul Verlaine! 🌖

I’m finally ready to share that it’s been a very difficult summer. I lost my momma on September 21st after a major heart surgery and subsequent others. As some of you know I’ve been away to be with her during the surgery and then was with her for her passing. My mom was truly a gem, her smile, laughter and humor brought so much joy and charmed the pants off everyone she met. I’m grateful I got to tell her all the time how much I loved her especially before she left this world. Not a minute goes by that I don’t miss her or want to talk to her and hear her voice calling me her beautiful girl. My heart knows she’s dancing and singing her heart out now and I’ll see her in all the wildflowers, sunsets, sunrises and daffodils until I see her beautiful smile again. 🤍
