In an effort to refocus and reinforce connection to intuition, wisdom and spirituality, I'm going to re-examine each chakra, and share that focus for the next seven new moons..as a meditation and community prayer.
These are difficult times for many of us, especially for empaths. We all need resources and tools to keep our foundations solid, physically and emotionally.
🔻🔻🔻The Root Chakra 🔻🔻🔻
Many of us are feeling ungrounded, anxious, and fearful. We are vibrating in a constant fight or flight (or freeze). Our Root Chakras are unbalanced.
When Balanced- "The Mother" manifests in feelings of grounded security, peace, trust, hopeful, resourcefulness, connected with community, friends and neighbors.
When imbalanced-"The Victim" ungrounded in feelings of fear, anxiety, insecurity, negativity, despair and isolation.
🧍♀️Physically the Root Chakra is associated with our lower extremities, glutes, colon, bladder and especially the adrenal glands. Adrenaline/cortisol causes a cascade of physiological changes that prepares us for danger. However, constant exposure to these hormones can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease, weight gain and digestive issues. Its really important to keep our nervous system regulated ( having the flexibility to respond to stress and quickly return to a a state of calm).
Balancing our Root Chakra supports nervous system regulation.
Ways to balance your Root Chakra:
⚡️Reiki & Self-Reiki: Learn Reiki! I have found this to be the fastest and most effective way balance chakras, which is why I incorporate it into my practice.
Other grounding activities: 🌲hiking- being in nature, gardening/re-potting plants. 🍝 Carbs! Have some pasta(you're welcome)! Time spent with animals/pets.🐕
👃Essential oils: cinnamon, sandalwood, patchiuli, sage, juniper, and cedar to name a few.
🪨Crystals: red jasper, hematite, tourmaline, obsidian and tiger's eye
All of these things facilitate grounding, but there is so much more we can do. There is a wealth of information out there. DM your questions!
