Seeking help can sometimes feel uncomfortable or bring fears of judgment from friends or family. In reality, asking for help is a sign of strength—it means recognizing that you’re human and open to finding new solutions. Stigma can often prevent people from seeking timely and appropriate mental health care (NIH, PubMed).

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or struggling, support is available. If you are thinking about harming yourself or others, please call or text 988 immediately to reach the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. You can also contact Cedar Hills Hospital at 503-944‑5000 for help and support.

You don’t have to face this alone.
