✨Why Wednesday ✨
Hi, I’m Kaylan! I grew up in Memphis, where I played a variety of sports — including softball 🥎, which is where a shoulder injury first introduced me to the world of physical therapy👩⚕️. I’ve always loved both working with people and exploring the science behind the human body, and PT felt like the perfect blend of the two.
I went on to earn my undergraduate degree in Exercise & Sport Science from the University of Memphis, which gave me a solid foundation in human movement and rehabilitation. After graduating, I decided to step outside my comfort zone and move to Arizona to attend PT school at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. My time there was truly transformative — I had incredible professors who were as compassionate as they were knowledgeable, and I built lifelong friendships along the way.
I ultimately chose to specialize in outpatient orthopedics because I love building meaningful connections with my patients and witnessing their progress over time. There’s nothing more rewarding than guiding someone from their very first visit to achieving their recovery goals and helping them return to the activities they love most 🏃🏼♀️🏀
