An educational resource that centers and amplifies BIPOC voices within herbalism through Atabey Medi

Seed and Thistle Apothecary stems from a clinical herbalist whose name is Lara Pacheco. I, Lara Pacheco, provide a monthly pickup of seasonally based herbal preparations from the Cully neighborhood in Northeast Portland. These herbal preparations derive from plant medicine that I have organically grown in my yard or ethically harvested from our surrounding forests. Seed and Thistle also sells these medicinal goods at the Parkrose Farmer's Markets on Saturdays and the Cully Market on Sundays. Workshops and classes throughout the season are also in the works along with Individual Consultations to help along the journey of optimal health!

Join lara pacheco of Atabey Medicine to lead a 6 weeks series learning the 'Ma Wang Dui Birds Qigong as taught and certified by Dr. Liu D**g of the Ling Gui International Healing Qigong School. Over six weeks we will learn this beautiful, elegant, and ancient form while also connecting and exploring some plant medicine as tea. Once participants register, you will be encouraged to purchase an accompanying booklet or e-booklet through theLing Gui International Healing Qigong School. Happy Earth plane birthday dear brother! I miss you every day but take joy in knowing you’re at peace. I see you in my skin when it turns brown in the summer, in your kids faces, I feel you in the ocean, I hear you when your boys hum in pleasure when they eat, I see you in the pain and struggle in the patients I treat, and see you in the houseless on the street for your heart cared immensely especially for those who suffered greatly. I hear your affirmations towards me as a caretaker. I love you.

Takaji dear ones! As a student if liberation acupuncture at POCA Tech, our student clinics are offering FREE treatments all month long this February. I offer treatments at our Rockwood location listed on flier on Tuesday mornings, 9-12:20 pm. Other student clinics are Wed-Friday evenings at same location, and Friday mornings. Also Wednesday am at Hillsdale and Friday evening at Cully. More information at working class acupuncture.org. Also come out and support and see all the beautiful work and medicine that Atabey medicine apprentices are creating!! It will be a pop up market supporting BIPOC medicine makers at Open Hand and Health. This will also be the day applications close for our apprenticeship program so it's a great opportunity to come out and ask questions about the program and hear from apprentices about their own experiences!
