Healing into Wholeness

Healing into Wholeness Healing into wholeness is a page that I created with the hope of bringing awareness to mental health and spiritual growth. Together we are very strong.

Please feel free to spread the love and healing that is at the crux of this page and my intention. This is an inspirational page stemming from the work I do as a psychotherapist in Portland, OR. I am passionate about growth work and see our task as taking the path of becoming conscious human beings, living with intention and finding our purpose and passion in this life we have been given. I am constantly inspired by the beauty and the suffering we encounter in our daily life. I would like to share my thoughts, my moments of awe and wonder with whomever might be called to read them and send me their own thoughts and realizations. This life we have been given is precious beyond measures, we just need to slow down enough to notice the many gifts, to take them in, and offer our own to add to the magnificent beauty we get to witness and embody. On another note I would like to let everybody know that none of the photos belong to me. When I know the source I make sure to give credit to the photographer or the original source. Same with the quotes, credit is always given when I do have the information. When you don't see any credit it is because I don't have this information. If you happen to have it and feel inclined to share it please do so.

“It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary,
decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.”

"Remember, we are all affecting the world every moment, whether we mean to or not. Our actions and states of mind matter, because we're so deeply interconnected with one another. Working on our own consciousness is the most important thing that we are doing at any moment, and being love is the supreme creative act."

“To know the difference between a want and a need, is to know gratitude. To know that the important part isn’t if others care enough, but whether we care enough about others, is to know love. To know that it isn’t what life gives us, but what we give to life, is to know purpose. ~ May we all live with gratitude, love, and purpose." Sandra Kring

"In dwelling, live close to the ground. In thinking, keep it simple. In conflict, be fair and generous. In governing, don't try to control. In work, do what you enjoy. In family life, be completely present. "

"To love. To be loved.
To never forget your own insignificance.
To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you.
To seek joy in the saddest places.
To pursue beauty to its lair.
To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple.
To respect strength, never power.
Above all, to watch.
To try and understand.
To never look away.
And never, never, to forget… another world is not only possible, she is on her way.
On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing."
Arundhati Roy

"As you begin changing your thinking, start immediately to change your behaviour. Begin to act the part of the person you would like to become. Take action on your behaviour. Too many people want to feel, then take action. This never works.”

“Each of our voices has something unique to say. Not only should I not mold my life to the demands of external conformity, but I can't even find the model by which to live outside myself. I can only find it within.” Charles Taylor
