The mission of EDRD Pro is to improve access to top-quality training for dietitians and professionals around the world and to increase awareness about Eating Disorders and Health at Every Size(R) for everyone. We think dietitians, nutritionists, coaches and therapists around the globe should have equal opportunities to hear from top experts in the field. In this webinar, Dr. Gaudiani will thoroughly review the medical complications of purging and of stopping purging. Physiologic complications of purging (via vomiting, laxative abuse, and diuretic abuse) and electrolyte abnormalities will be covered, as will causes of and prevention of edema due to pseudo-Bartter syndrome when patients stop purging.

This webinar equips eating disorder dietitians with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to apply three skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to enhance client care. Participants will learn to clarify values and apply to recovery, practice thought defusion techniques to reduce the power of intrusive thoughts, and apply “dropping anchor” exercises to build present-moment awareness.
