We had good turnout for our recent clay workshop at our Gresham office.

One of our sessions that took place prior to the start Ramadan last week covered grounding techniques to help manage fasting. Participants reported feeling calm and relaxed as they worked with with clay. Some participants told us they had perceived clay-working as an activity only for children.

We had a few ambitious folks who worked their clay into household items, such as a plate and candleholders.

Next Wednesday, Feb. 18, we are holding an art-making workshop at our Gresham office. The focus is on clay.

These are fun workshops where we have warm conversation about emotions, ways of handling stress, and enjoy hot tea, all while working with air-dry clay.

This space is safe for immigrants and refugees. Everyone is welcome, including children! Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

12 p.m. on Feb 18 -- Russian interpretation available.
5 p.m. on 18 -- Karen interpretation available.

It's official! Compass Housing Alliance and Lutheran Community Services Northwest (LCSNW) complete merger. After years of affiliation and partnership, Compass and LCSNW are joining together as one organization!
