A beautiful gathering was hosted by Becky Owens of and , last night, bringing together an incredible group of women to talk about something that matters deeply— . ❤️
Heart disease remains the number one killer of women in the US, and yet many women still don’t know their numbers—meaning they don’t fully understand their risk.
delivered a powerful talk, reminding everyone how important it is to truly understand what’s happening in their bodies.
She encouraged every woman to know her key health markers, including blood pressure, LDL cholesterol, fasting glucose/A1C, weight and waist ratio, and family history. These, she emphasized, are not just numbers—they’re signals. Early insights that offer an opportunity to take action and protect long-term health.
She also spoke to something not discussed nearly enough: heart disease in women doesn’t always present the way people expect. Symptoms can differ from men’s, are often labeled “atypical,” and can sometimes be overlooked or dismissed in healthcare settings, like the ER room.
Her message was clear and important—trust yourself and advocate for yourself. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t ignore it, and don’t let it be dismissed.
The evening was not only about raising awareness, but also about empowerment. Women supporting women, sharing knowledge, and reminding one another that their health matters.
It was a wonderful night—and an important reminder to keep the conversation going: know your numbers, share what you’ve learned, and never be afraid to speak up for yourself and your body. ❤️
