A float can give you a melatonin boost by promoting relaxation and regulating sleep patterns through a combination of deep relaxation, sensory deprivation, and magnesium absorption. The dark, quiet environment calms the nervous system, and the magnesium-rich Epsom salt water helps trigger a response that can increase melatonin production, making it easier to fall asleep and improve sleep quality.

The Float Tank is a safe processing space for veterans. The sensory deprived environment offers a non-judgmental, trigger-free space for veterans to process thoughts and memories without external pressure or the need to talk to anyone else about their experiences. Clinical research indicates that floating can effectively help unwind the effects of posttraumatic stress disorder. It helps shut down the bodies, fight or flight response, significantly decreasing anxiety, stress, and depression symptoms.

Combining gratitude and float therapy creates a synergistic effect, as the deeply relaxed, introspective state achieved in the float tank provides an optimal environment for a focused gratitude practice, while gratitude enhances the overall mental and emotional benefits of the float session. Both practices independently reduce stress, anxiety, and depression by lowering cortisol levels and releasing “feel-good” neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin. Combining them can amplify these effects, leading to greater emotional stability, optimism, and an improved overall sense of well-being.

Float therapy can benefit aging adults by relieving joint and muscle pain, improving circulation, reducing stress and anxiety, and promoting better sleep. The weightless environment of the float tank takes pressure off the joints, while the magnesium in the Epsom salt can help relax muscles, and the deep relaxation helps reduce the body’s stress response. Our standard Float room and deluxe Float room have grab bars to help you in and out of the tank. Our showers are also equipped with a grab bar. Upon request we can equipped your room with nonslip mats and a shower chair.

Float therapy can aid addiction recovery by creating a deeply relaxing, sensory-deprived environment that promotes introspection, reduces stress, and helps disrupt habitual patterns of thought. This technique, also known as Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy (REST), is not a standalone cure but a complementary approach that can foster a more receptive state of mind for those on the recovery journey. The lack of external stimuli in a float tank allows for a deep connection with one’s inner self, which can be crucial for understanding and processing the root causes of addiction.
