It’s Rad Tech Week! 🎉
Radiologic Technologist Brooklynn Dowd shared how meaningful it is to be part of a team that supports patients with care and career development.
What makes working at OHSU special?
I began my journey at OHSU three years ago as an Imaging Student, completing a year-long externship before joining the team full-time after graduation. I have worked at other hospitals but have never worked at one quite like OHSU. The drive for education and the location of the campus are both unique and truly inspire me to continue to grow.
How has your role helped you grow professionally?
In addition to my work at OHSU, I am proud to serve as the President of the Oregon Society of Radiologic Technologists (OSRT). I am also thrilled to share that I will soon be joining the Electrophysiology team here at OHSU, continuing to expand my skills and contribute to our mission of excellence in healthcare.
What career milestones are you most proud of?
I transitioned into the role of Clinical Coordinator for Radiology, an exciting and challenging opportunity that allowed me to grow as a leader early in my career. This experience has strengthened my passion for both patient care and professional development within medical imaging.
