Spring view out my office window! I’m so busy with groups at other facilities these days that I’ve been at my office a little less than normal, but I pulled in to my office after being on vacation in California today, and this beautiful tree greeted me outside my window! Grateful for the growth and changing of seasons! 🌸🌸🌸

Happy to share that I am speaking at the New England Head Start Association spring conference this Thursday, March 20th from 9:45-11:15am! My presentation will be on creating therapeutic environments for children through music! I am excited to share that I am now offering Heartbeat Songs as a service for you and your loved ones!
❤️💙What is a Heartbeat Song? 💜❤️
Using a stethoscope with a microphone, I will take a recording of you or your loved one’s heartbeat. We will work together to select a song that has held meaning in your life and re-create that song together according to your preferences, and then I will set the recording of your heartbeat to the chosen song. This will provide a meaningful living memory for loved ones after loss, or in celebrations of life. Heartbeat songs can be a part of pre-loss care and legacy work in end of life care for patients of all ages with terminal illness. Additionally, parents may seek out heartbeat recordings for their newborns, set to a lullaby (or any song) of their choosing.

Happy Thursday! We are right on the brink of winter here in Maine, but we have had so much sunshine this fall, and I have felt so grateful for that! I’ve included three things that have been sustaining me: sunshine, apples, and creativity!
There have been so many new people reaching out, which feels so exciting! Today I ran a group with 27 (!!!!!) adults! How are you stepping out of your comfort zone these days? I look forward to connecting soon!

Number one on this list is Music Therapy, and I couldn't agree more! I love what I do!

Landing a big salary fresh out of college can be nice. But going to a job that makes you feel fulfilled every day is also a worthy aspiration.

Happy September! I can’t believe I am coming up on one year of Songbird Services! I just moved into a house and was able to unpack some boxes of instruments and things for my office and I found these beauties! Feeling especially charmed because I certainly got this bird before I had gotten Songbird Services off the ground!
I am accepting new clients, and I look forward to seeing you soon!
