The one thing you must always remember when you’re trying to get pregnant and you have PCOS…

Is that you can always get a second medical opinion about your fertility needs.

Have you heard Taylor share her story of fertility hope? It’s a great example of advocating for yourself and your fertility needs.

When she was first diagnosed with PCOS, her doctor kept telling her that IVF was her only option.

That didn’t sit right with her and she continued looking for other answers.

She was looking for, at the very least, a doctor who could help her uncover what was going on underneath the surface that was keeping her from getting pregnant BEFORE having the IVF conversation.

That’s what led her to work with me.

I helped her identify why she was having irregular cycles and couldn’t get pregnant naturally and I got her on a plan to address those issues.

6 months later?

She was pregnant with a healthy baby.

It is possible to get regular cycles and get your body prepped for baby when you have PCOS.

The process of my (proven!) PCOS Fertility Protocol…

Here’s the thing, you’ve been trying to get pregnant for the past 6 years.

You’ve tried countless different diets.

You’ve tried birth control.

You’ve seen other doctors who have just told you that your labs are fine and you’re going to have to go through IVF to get pregnant.

You want to work on the root cause of your fertility struggles but you also know that if you choose the less convenient path, that usually means it’s an investment of your time and money.

I hear you. You’ve been through a lot. It’s exhausting, heartbreaking and defeating.

But if you’re here reading this, that means that you haven’t given up hope.

And yes, working on your health? It’s an investment of time and money.

But what’s the alternative? To go through more rounds of fertility meds doing the same thing over and over again just to see if it works? Or spending thousands of dollars on IVF while not making any other changes just to see if it works?

There is another option.

After years of working with patients I developed my PCOS Fertility Protocol which has now been proven by countless women.

Here’s what they see as they go through this protocol
✨Regular periods
✨Positive ovulation tests
✨Natural pregnancy
✨Better outcomes with fertility meds
✨Better energy
✨Deeper sleep

Yes you’ve been through a lot over the past 6 years, but do you want to continue throwing together a fertility plan, hoping that something will stick?

Have you been told the pill will prep your body for pregnancy, only to feel more frustrated after stopping it? 😔

The truth is, the estrogen and progesterone in birth control are not creating a fertile environment — they are literally shutting down your natural hormone production to create a "fake picture" of regularity! Learn why the pill can set you further back from your goal of achieving a healthy, regular cycle and getting pregnant.

I’m not anti-medication, but this is important for PCOS fertility…

There is not one pill that takes care of everything that is going on that is contributing to fertility struggles.

Pills and medications can be a key part of fertility health, but there’s not a magic pill that takes care of everything.

But that doesn’t mean there aren’t answers, because there are. You just need to know how to put together the pieces.

Her doctor told her, you have PCOS and you will have to do some form of IVF to get pregnant.

Her response to that advice?

I don’t really like those answers because I don’t know what the actual problem is.

My body should be naturally doing this on its own, so why isn’t it?

Instead of taking a pill for something to fix, slap a band-aid on it, I really wanted to get to the root cause.

And that’s when she started researching and found me.

We started working together, and one year later she is pregnant with a healthy baby.

👉Do you ask yourself similar questions like, why is my body not doing this one thing it should be?

👉Do you want to get to the root cause of what’s keeping you from getting pregnant?

I’m your doctor

Schedule a call with me at drangelapotter.com/pcos and you and I will talk about what’s been missing from your care and the single most important step you can take that will help you find that root cause of your fertility struggles (hint: it’s not IVF).

How soon to expect to see fertility changes when you have PCOS?

3 months is the shortest amount of time to expect to prep your body for pregnancy when you have PCOS.

But having 6-10 months in your head is a good expectation to have.

And here’s why:

You’ve had PCOS for YEARS. You’ve been ttc for the past 6 years, you’ve had irregular cycles for all that time and you aren’t getting any positive ovulation tests. Am I right?

I certainly wish there was a magic pill to turn everything around instantly, but it takes time.

It takes a full month (or longer!) for your reproductive hormones to go through their full cycle. Which means it may take a few months for you to start seeing the positive changes from the work you’re putting in.

Egg quality also takes about 90 days to turn over. Meaning, the support you give your eggs TODAY will impact the eggs that will be ready to ovulate 3 months from now.

It is possible to get regular periods, natural ovulation and optimal fertility with PCOS. From what I see in my practice, those who are willing to wait 6+ months get the best results.

When your doctor just tells you to "lose weight" to fix your PCOS, do you feel like you've been unfairly pinholed? That advice often overlooks the crucial, underlying issues! You need to focus on holistic fertility prep, addressing elevated insulin, hormonal imbalances, and even vitamin deficiencies, instead of letting your doctor ignore the bigger picture of your health.

I don’t believe ovulation medications are the best first-line therapy for PCOS fertility.

After 10 years of working with patients, what I see is best is first figuring out the root cause of what’s causing your fertility struggles.

Answering these questions and taking care of them is most important:

👉WHY is your body still having irregular cycles?
👉Which HORMONES are contributing to irregular cycles and no pregnancy?
👉What NUTRIENTS are keeping egg quality low?
👉Which SYSTEMS are contributing to inflammation and keeping fertility chances low

Once we get those things figured out for you and address them, do you see how that opens up a path forward to pregnancy?

Sure, ovulation medications may still be a part of your fertility plan. It’s not that medications are bad.

But what I see over and over again is that they are being used at the wrong time of the fertility process

When you take the time and attention to focus on improving your health and focusing on the root cause of your fertility struggles, that’s when fertility opens up the best.

Need help with that?

You’re in the right place because getting to the root cause of your fertility struggles is my expertise.

What exactly do my patients see me for? The most common things are fatigue, hormone balance, using herbs while breastfeeding, pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, hemorrhoids, or nutrition counseling.

I am also passionate about helping mothers thrive through the postpartum time. Often, the focus of medical care switches to the baby once the baby is born. Rightfully so, that sweet baby needs lots of care and attention. But the mother has gone through one of the most significant moments in her life and has a lot of recuperating to do.

I see patients at my office in Portland, Oregon and through virtual distance consultations (you can be anywhere in the world and still work with me!)
