Today, we had our groundbreaking ceremony at the site of Fora Home!
Located adjacent to Fora Health’s treatment center in Southeast Portland, the new 20,000-square-foot housing project will provide individuals transitioning from substance use disorder treatment with stable housing and the support they need for long-term recovery.
The new housing facility will include 23 rooms and 46 recovery housing beds and will provide patients completing residential treatment with a secure place to live for four to six months while they continue to receive outpatient services and access to community resources. Providing patients with a stable housing environment will allow them to find employment establish savings, and transition into permanent housing solutions. Fora
Health will offer clinical support, including intensive outpatient therapy, peer specialists, and counselors, ensuring individuals receive the care they need during this critical phase of recovery.
Local partners, including Multnomah County, Oregon Health Authority, The city of Portland, the Centene foundation, Mabel Clark McDonald foundation, The Portland Clean Energy Fund, and the Joseph Weston Foundation, have come together to help fund the development of the new housing project. This collaborative effort underscores these organizations' commitment to addressing the community's growing need for comprehensive support and resources that help foster long-term recovery and housing stability in the Portland-Metropolitan region.
