With 20 years of elite experience spanning the Royal Ballet, professional soccer and rugby, and the UK Armed Forces. Nathan Evans shares his expertise of assessing and treating complex athletic hip and groin pain.
Nathan is originally from Wales in the UK, where he completed his education with an undergraduate degree in Sports Science and Physical Therapy, before going on to complete an MSc in Sports Physical Therapy. Nathan is also an NSCA-certified Strength and Conditioning and EXOS Sports Performance Coach.
During the first 10 years of his career, Nathan worked in the UK, where he specialized in sports physical therapy, working with Southampton Soccer Academy, Bath Rugby, The Royal Ballet, as well as the UK military. These positions have enabled him to become a well-rounded sports physical therapist with an appreciation of the demands and requirements for athletic performance. Nathan believes an injury is an opportunity to become a better athlete and sees an injury as a consideration, not a limitation for individuals with a goal in mind.
Since moving to Portland in 2017, Nathan has filled various roles working as a sports physical therapist and performance coach. Due to his wide array of experience, Nathan has significant experience in returning individuals to performance after injury and continued athlete monitoring after injury. Nathan specializes in ACL rehabilitation, lower limb, and contact shoulder injuries while maintaining a general interest in a variety of musculoskeletal injuries.
