❤️ Thriving Together at Harvest Homes ❤️

We are honored to celebrate one of our residents whose life has been dedicated to serving others. After more than 60 years in ministry, countless lives touched through teaching, counseling, and community service, his legacy continues here every day through his kindness, humor, and encouragement to those around him.

Alongside his wife, he also opened his home to nearly 100 foster children over the years — a true example of a life centered on compassion and care.

Today, he continues to inspire residents and team members alike at Harvest Homes Assisted Living. We are grateful to be part of his journey and proud to celebrate the impact he continues to make.

Thank you for reminding us what it means to truly live a life in service to others.

A recent Learning Lab had everyone digging in to Queen Victoria’s obsession with chickens! 🐓 In 1824, Queen Victoria had 7 Conchin chickens, an exotic variety that was beautiful to look at. Queen Victoria touted her fancy brood by mailing their eggs to other members of the royal family. Soon her chickens sparked an international hen fever and the demand for ornamental chicken breeding spread far and wide. As Harvest Homes has its fair share of chicken aficionados, everyone enjoyed getting to the root of why chickens became so popular in history!
