When you realize that you’re saying I feel crazy, maybe I’m too sensitive, or you are confused because he said he loves you, but he’s not showing up that way all the time.

Your brain tries to keep you safe by justifying and minimizing. Maybe he’s just having a bad day. Maybe I’m just being too sensitive.

Confusion is a biological response, not a personal failure. When someone repeatedly denies your reality, shifts the blame, did all of the things, it short circuits your brain, it can’t integrate what’s happening. The fog you feel is your nervous system protecting you from overwhelm.
This is why logic alone won’t pull you out of the spiral. You must first restore a sense of internal safety.
The job is not to deal with what is going on externally. The work is to deal with what’s going on internally and create a space of safety within you for you that it will always be there regardless of who might come in or
 out of your life.
This is what I teach in Comfusion 2 Claroty coaching program. For more tips follow me!

In this video, I dive into the concept of the Confusion Spiral, a common experience for survivors of narcissistic abuse and gaslighting. I explain how our nervous systems create this mental loop, causing us to overanalyze conversations and question our reality, which is a survival instinct rather than a personal failure. If you’re ready to get off the crazy train. Reach out and let’s have a chat.

Healing after psychological abuse isn’t a straight line.
It’s more like climbing Mount Everest—emotionally.
You think you’ve reached solid ground, you’re feeling like you’re gonna get this down, and then another crevice appears; another wounded part shows up that wants to derail the whole damn thing.
You’re not broken and it IS possible. You’re just relearning how to be ok with the whole of you and not project the pain into yet another relationship.
What once felt normal starts to show cracks. That’s a GREAT thing!
Because healthy love doesn’t require you to lose yourself, it allows you to incorporate all of you. Even the things you weren’t aware of. Healing reveals how much you adapted just to survive.
It’s raw. It’s messy. It’s worth every tear.
You’re re-learning what safety actually feels like.
The climb is brutal
but the view? Freedom, clarity, and peace.
It’s painful, it’s exhausting—but it’s also the work that sets you free.
The payoff is worth every step: healthy love, honest peace, and a self you can trust again.
