Classical Pearls

Classical Pearls Classical Pearls Herbal Formulas™ are unique Chinese herbal formulations designed for the treatmen

OUR APPROACH IS SIMPLE

We manage the sourcing, production and formulation of the highest quality ingredients into unique and potent formulations based on the classical medical texts, and fine-tuned to treat modern patients suffering from the complex diseases of our times. Herbal medicine was once the only modality to cure serious diseases. Today, the intricate alchemical principles and the experience based approach of traditional herbal science has become overshadowed by laboratory parameters—often to the detriment of clinical results. It is the mission of Classical Pearls to launch a return to the classical and clinic-based roots of Chinese herbal medicine. A RETURN TO THE CLINICAL POWER OF OUR ROOTS

Classical Pearls is proud to be part of an international movement that seeks to honor and restore the classical origins of Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine is a highly sophisticated science and deeply spiritual art form. We believe in trusting what history has taught us – that Chinese herbal formulation is based on simple foundational principles that are often ignored or misunderstood in the construct of modern TCM education. With our formulas and the core educational concepts behind them, our goal is to preserve the true clinical power and efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine. OUR FORMULAS HAVE EVOLVED FROM CLASSICAL MEDICAL TEXTS

Each of our remedies incorporates principles of classical formula design synthesized from the ancient texts of Oriental medicine and a variety of classical lineage approaches. Based on over two decades of clinical experience, tightly structured classical formulas have been combined and fine-tuned to the modern diseases of our time. It is our sincere hope that the study and use of the Classical Pearls series of products can help Oriental medicine practitioners increase their clinical efficacy and gain a better understanding of the time-honored principles of alchemical wisdom that are gradually being forgotten.

🪵Duzhong (Eucommia bark) has been valued for centuries for its ability to strengthen the Kidneys and support the lower back and joints.

In classical Chinese medicine, it is often used for patterns of weakness that lead to chronic back pain, stiffness, and degenerative conditions such as arthritis.
Rather than simply addressing symptoms, Duzhong works by restoring the body’s foundational strength—helping the sinews and bones receive the nourishment they need over time.

🌬️Wind Pearls is intended for the treatment of respiratory issues due to environmental allergies. Its complex design is based on the popular remedy for nasal afflictions, Cangerzi San (Xanthium Powder). Cangerzi San has a strong wind expelling and or***ce opening effect. The 16th century asthma formula Sanzi Yangqin Tang (Three-Seed Decoction to Nourish One’s Parents) descends and transforms phlegm, and a host of moistening ingredients soothe chronically inflamed mucous membranes by consolidating the yin of Lung and Kidney. Dandelion resolves stagnant heat and hidden toxicity, and lumbricus opens congested collaterals. Together, this combination represents a comprehensive approach to autoimmune conditions afflicting the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.

Duzhong Sourcing 🪵

The quality of an herb begins with where and how it is grown.
In Hubei province, where Duzhong is traditionally cultivated, the environment is naturally humid and rich—conditions that allow the bark to develop its dense, resilient character.
This close relationship between plant and place is a cornerstone of classical herbalism. The climate, soil, and ecological balance all influence the therapeutic strength of the medicine.

🪵Duzhong (Eucommia bark) has been valued for centuries in Chinese medicine for its ability to support the Kidney and Liver systems, strengthen the lower back and knees, and help restore resilience after depletion or injury.

Traditionally harvested from mature trees, the bark is carefully peeled, then rolled and dried to preserve its medicinal qualities. This process requires both skill and patience, as the health of the tree and the integrity of the herb depend on thoughtful sourcing.

Perilla Pearls is designed to treat symptoms of throat discomfort and lung qi rebellion that often accompany external wind invasions. It is based on Suzi Lihou Tang (Perilla Disinhibit the Throat Decoction), an 18th century remedy with the therapeutic advantage that it is suitable for both the wind heat and wind cold varieties of the cold/flu. It is enhanced by the classical 2nd century heat phlegm formula, Xiao Xianxiong Tang (Minor Sinking into the Chest Decoction), which ensures that even later stages of the external invasions can be treated successfully.
