JFCS is so grateful to its many generous donors who made this year’s holiday giving programs—Thanksgiving Food Box and Family-to-Family—possible and a terrific success. Thanks to your contributions, we were able to help a record number of community members in this 25th year of the program.

We’ve received an outpouring of appreciation from recipients of both the Thanksgiving meal boxes, and Family-to-Family gift cards. One client shares reflections on the support: “What started out as a bleak November, has turned into a joyous November.”

JFCS has long been a steady source of care and connection in our community, and you are a crucial part of that safety net. Thank you for considering a tax-deductible year-end donation to support JFCS’ services that help those who need it most and to ensure that no one faces hardship alone. Your gift helps JFCS be here for our clients with mental health support, emergency aid, home care, programs to combat loneliness, and more. Together, we are building a community where everyone feels seen, supported, and connected. Thank you!

To prepare for Hanukkah, about 40 JFCS Holocaust Survivor clients, together with their family members and caregivers, gathered to bake bread together. The pre-Hanukkah Challah Bake was a joyful afternoon of good food, good friends, and the light of the season. Thank you to our many volunteers who transported clients to and from, Maayan Torah Day School for bringing wonderful student assistants, and the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany for its funding that made the celebration possible.

Even a small light matters.

Like many in our community, we are feeling shaken by this weekend’s violence. But we are holding tight to the spirit of Chanukah and the belief that we can be a light for one another through care and connection.

Please take gentle care of your heart today. It is okay to feel overwhelmed. It is okay to feel "off." It is okay to rest.

You do not have to hold this alone. We are here. If you need support, counseling, or just connection, please don't hesitate to reach out to the JFCS team.

Your donation to our annual Family-to-Family program will help clients provide for their families and purchase gifts for those they love this holiday season. As one client recipient shared with us: "Thank you so much for this gift. I wasn't sure how I was going to pay bills and ensure my children were able to open something at the holidays.”
