This angers me that the US government engages in such time and cost consuming activities to HARM such a small and vulnerable population (fewer than 01% of adolescents - see comments for source). Can't they think of other useful things to be doing with that time and energy!!!!!!????? Like help people, bolster mental health supports in our country, create housing and employment pathways? ugh.

Proposed new rules would punish the hospitals by pulling all federal financing. Advocates say lawsuits will follow.

Great ASO/Synergy Parent group this morning followed by a lovely coffee and bookstore visit with my mom. Then went to the redwoods today for some forest peace with my dad. Feeling grateful and blessed.

Climbed a mountain I used to climb almost every Sunday in my 20’s. It was hard but so worth it. A few years ago I scattered the ashes of four pets I had owned including my sweet Aja, a rescue from Eugene who I was lucky enough to have for 16 years and Pinney, an amazing and goofy cat I had for 15 years. Rio got to pay respects with me today. He uses Aja’s old leash. I smiled all the way up and all the way down. Furry family members are the best. My heart is full today!

What a whirlwind of a beautiful adventure for our long weekend! From Cove Palisades which we loved but it was blistering hot, to the cool coastal camping at Honeyman, finishing up with lunch at our favorite Schooner!
