Over the past year, people supported by Albertina Kerr spent time doing what mattered most to them, whether in the community, at work, or at home.

At Kerr, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities have access to safe homes, inclusive day services, and meaningful jobs. Youth with complex needs get residential care and specialized mental health support. Young people in crisis start to heal with trauma-informed psychiatric care.

This season, the people Kerr supports enjoyed experiences that felt right to them—from a sensory-friendly Santa and Storyland visit in Albany to a festive getaway at Seven Feathers Casino Resort.

Whether it was quiet moments, bright lights, or something in between, these outings were about choice, comfort, and making holiday memories. 🎄✨

Sometimes, starts with a cookie or a cup of coffee.

Recently, people supported in Kerr’s Marion County group homes joined two community events that brought neighbors and local law enforcement together in relaxed, welcoming spaces.

🍪𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐩 at the Silverton Bake Shop made it easy to connect with the Silverton Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff's Office. With conversation, questions, and plenty of cookies, it’s no surprise Santa stopped by too.

☕️𝐂𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐚 & 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 at Dutch Bros offered a chance to connect with members of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, ask questions, and enjoy warm drinks in a casual setting.

Moments like these help build familiarity, trust, and understanding—one conversation at a time.

Grace has always been clear about what she wants. “I want to work in a kitchen,” she shares.

With support from Albertina Kerr’s Supported Employment Services, she turned that goal into reality—securing her dream job in the kitchen at Element Hotel.

Every day is full and varied. She’s meeting new people, building confidence, and working toward another goal that’s especially meaningful to her.

“Kerr helps people find jobs—and helped me find a good one,” Grace says.
