90 minute hits different! 🔥

As we get back into the swing of an extended practices, here are some practical pro tips for setting yourself up for success:

1.    Schedule it. Put it on your calendar so it becomes something you just do. Consistency removes decision fatigue.

    2.    Hydrate early. Electrolytes the day before matter more than chugging water right before class. Get ahead of the curve.

    3.    Fuel wisely. Eat breakfast 2–3 hours before so you’re energized and digested.

    4.    Set up your space. Extra water, extra towel, any props you need — handle it before class starts so you have what you need to stay in it.

Stay tuned for some mindset tips!

Kundalini Yoga
Next Sunday 1/25 | 12:30-2pm
with Darcy

Kundalini works with everything you already do on your mat already—just from a completely different angle. If you’re wondering what it is, what it isn’t and if its right for you, we’re breaking it down here:

What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini is a practice designed to build awareness by working directly with your nervous system, breath, and energy. It combines repetitive movements (kriyas), specific breathing patterns, mantras, and meditations to create a powerful experience.

What can you expect in class?
• Simple, repetitive movements (all levels welcome)
• Guided breathwork that challenges and trains your nervous system
• Periods of stillness and movement

Why is Kundalini beneficial to power yogis?
• It strengthens your ability to stay regulated
• Improves breath capacity
• Promotes mental clarity and focus
• Builds resilience and stamina in a different way than the power practice
• Guides you to feel more of the subtleties of sensation

Many power yogis are surprised by how challenging Kundalini can be—without relying on complex poses or external heat. It trains the part of you that stays steady when things get uncomfortable.

This woman is a master in the truest sense of the word.

As Director of Teachers (and PPY OG), Darcy seamlessly blends motivation with power, sass with skill, and somehow makes you feel both challenged and supported all at the same time.

She is the iron that we sharpen our craft against. She keeps us honest, intelligent, strong and never settling for “good enough.”

Happy Birthday, Darcy! ❤️
Here’s to SO much more badassery. 👑👑🔥🔥💪🏼💪🏼

One of our favorite things is hearing that what we’re putting out there is truly landing for you.

The greatest realization we hope to impart is that time on your mat doesn’t stay on your mat. It ripples out— to your relationships with self and others, your sense of connection to the world, how you navigate challenges and stress and so on…

This practice transcends age, gender, background, fitness level…it’s a practice for humans who want to live bigger and feel lighter. 🕊️✨❤️

“The PPY community has been an amazing surprise for me from my new “bros of a certain age” to all the wonderful younger people I’ve met.

I can’t say enough about how incredible the staff is from “check in” (is there a nicer person in the world than Sarah? Maybe it’s Michelle?) to the instructors. They’re all fantastic coaches who challenge and push me to the edge in such a constructive way.

As an athlete (aging but still trying!), PPY has been perfect for what I need for mental and physical wellbeing: it’s an intense workout and employs tools to overcome mental turmoil.”

This workshop is for the moments in class when you’re wondering:

Am I doing this right? (Breath, pose, etc)
Why does this feel powerful some days and exhausting on others?
How do I stay challenged without burning out or checking out?
How do I make this personalized and sustainable for my body and ability?

Power Yoga Foundations is a pause in the rhythm of our regular classes—a space to slow down, ask questions, and reconnect to the BTS of the practice.

Together, we’ll explore how breath can steady you on and off your mat, how alignment can be supportive, and how making wise, attuned choices allows your practice to work FOR you.

It’s about increasing understanding, giving you agency and developing a deeper connection to the practice.

Workshops are structured to give you the opportunity to ask questions, received personalized feedback and benefit from a group/community experience.

Next Saturday 1/17 from 11am–1pm.
$40 drop in. Limited space available.

Happy Birthday to one of our amazing teachers, Sam!

When we think of Sam, we think of qualities like authentic and kind. She’s not only an amazing mom to 2 toddlers, but she always shows up consistently for this practice and embodies it in the way she carries herself and endeavors to continue to build her skill as a teacher.

She’s the type of human that always offers help where she can and looks out for others without ever needing the spotlight. She’s a rare gem and absolutely cherished here at PPY.

She’s not on IG, so make sure you wish her a happy birthday when you see her this week!!!

What if you could step out of “just getting through class” and actually start to understand the “what” and “why” behind this practice?

Most power yoga classes move quickly by design. They’re energizing, challenging, and effective. But they don’t allow for slowing down the practice enough to ask questions, explore personalized alignment or to deep dive into the tangible tools of the practice.

Join Shelby and Ali for Power Yoga Foundations— a hands-on, workshop experience where they will dive into the foundations of the practice we teach at PPY—and the why behind it.

This is a space to learn how to use ujjayi breath as an actual tool, not just a concept. We’ll explore how the breath supports pacing, focus, and nervous system regulation—helping you move with more steadiness and less force, both on and off the mat.

We’ll look at alignment beyond “one-size-fits-all”, so you can see what alignment looks like in your body.

You’ll learn how and when to modify—not as a fallback, but as a way to stay in your practice instead of pushing through or checking out.

Throughout the workshop, we’ll zoom out to understand overall alignment and structure, and then zoom back in to make it personal, sustainable, and accessible for you.

We’ll also share our why. Why we practice the way we do at PPY. Why group breath matters. Why synchronized vinyasa isn’t about performance. Why moving together actually creates more ease, connection, and safety in a room full of bodies.

You’ll have time to ask questions, receive individualized feedback, and apply what you’re learning into a guided flow that feels more intentional, intelligent, and embodied.

Whether you’re newer to power yoga or a longtime yogi looking for more clarity, this workshop will give you tools you need to step on your mat with more confidence, self-awareness and purpose.

Cost: $40.
Spaces limited.
