We teach Synchronized Vinyasa, a yoga class that seamlessly matches movement and breath for a completely revolutionary fitness experience. The physical part of the class is intense, and is suitable and adaptable for all levels of experience, the only pre-requisite is an open mind.

🦅Eagle Pose: Upper Body Modifications

If you’re not able to fully wrap your arms in Eagle, no problem!

Here are two alternative options:

💪🏼Stack your arms: opposite hand to opposite elbow/bicep. This requires less mobility from your shoulders and can allow more room for bulkier shoulders/muscles!

💪🏼Bear Hug- stack arms (R arm under or L arm under based on the teachers cue) and instead of taking the forearm wrap, bring your arms into a hug. This has a great compressing and equalizing feel to it!

Research shows that yoga is linked to measurable reductions in anxiety and stress.

It’s accessible, non-invasive, connection based and becoming less and less stigmatized, which is great news because generalized anxiety has become more and more prevalent (10% of adults affected) post 2020.

Yoga holistically combines physical, mental and spiritual components to build stability and resilience from the bottom up.

Sometimes the most effective tools are the ones that are the simplest and most powerful.

Here at PPY, we believe that a consistent practice has the potential to radically change the quality of your mind and body, leading to a meaningful and present life.

🦅 Eagle Pose: Lower Body Modifications

🦵🏼🦵🏼instead of fully wrapping your legs, create a kickstand to provide more stability and support by tapping your toes down to your mat.

🦵🏼🦵🏼instead of standing, come into a kneeling position on your shins. This takes balance right out of it and helps you focus on maintaining length in your upper body and focusing on breath and gaze.

• Yin Yoga relieves tension in areas of your body that can often get overlooked — places of chronic tension from repetitive movements, sedentary work or stress.

• Long Yin holds can lower stress hormone signaling to your body that rest and repair can happen. This leads to enhanced recovery and sleep.

• Yin supports joints and connective tissues, which improves strength, range of motion, and sustainability of your power practice.

• Yin reinforces mind-body connection in a way that complements power yoga. The movement is more subtle, but the awareness is still high, sharpening attunement to your body and breath.

Hands-on assists are a part of this class! They are offered intentionally and supportively—not to push you deeper, but to provide support and a sense of connection.
