๐ŸŒŸ September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month. According to the CDC, over 100,000 Americans live with sickle cell disease (CDC), a condition that affects red blood cells and overall health. Globally, WHO estimates the disease impacts millions of people, with the highest prevalence in sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and India.

๐Ÿค โ€œFrom the Boothโ€ in Abuja!

What a conference to remember! The Hemex Health team had an amazing time at the Global Sickle Cell Disease Network Conference, connecting with inspiring healthcare leaders from around the world.

From Dr. Chijioke Onyia, Managing Director at Pinecrest Healthcare in Nigeria, to Dr. Rabindra Jena from Odisha, India, and our very own John Keen, the exchange of ideas and shared passion for sickle cell care was truly energizing.

Led by Patti White our CEO, and Gerrit van Roekel, our VP of Business Development, Hemex Health is honored to be part of a global network committed to turning shared goalsโ€”like access, awareness, and empowermentโ€”into real-world impact.
