As Rare Disease Day approaches, Hemex Health, Inc. stands with the global rare disease community and with sickle cell warriors and their families. While sickle cell disease affects approximately 100,000 individuals in the United States, it impacts millions worldwide. Raising awareness is only part of the mission - improving outcomes depends on expanding access to early, accurate diagnosis. Bridging the gap requires decentralized, affordable testing solutions that reach patients wherever they live.

🩸 Despite being one of the most common genetic conditions worldwide (WHO), sickle cell disease remains a neglected global health burden, receiving less attention and fewer resources than warranted by its prevalence (NIH, WHO).

🔬We proudly stand with and advocacy groups globally to raise awareness for the continued need to address this disease. Gazelle supports initiatives in early screening and testing worldwide.

🌟 September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month. According to the CDC, over 100,000 Americans live with sickle cell disease (CDC), a condition that affects red blood cells and overall health. Globally, WHO estimates the disease impacts millions of people, with the highest prevalence in sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and India.

We stand with patients, families, and advocacy organizations such as (Sickle Cell Disease Association of America) in the U.S. and many others worldwide to raise awareness and support sickle cell warriors.

Through our Gazelle device, we are proud to contribute to global efforts in early screening and testing. 🔬
