PSA on Covid-19 and pregnancy. Be aware some hospitals will be looking to separate positive birthers from their babies. This is NOT what the World Health Organization or RCOG (UK) recommends at all. Based on all reviewed cases mild symptoms for pregnant persons and newborns have only been reported. For some reason CDC has recommended immediate separation at birth for two weeks, without any evidence. Each hospital makes their own decisions. I know Landmark in Woonsocket, RI is using the RCOG and WHO recommendations to keep them together, others hospitals in the US are following the CDC rules. There was a positive mother who birthed in MA and they took her baby away and isolated her for two weeks. You must advocate now and hard if you decided the WHO and RCOG recommendations are what you feel is best for you.
