While Samson is relatively new to Portland, they moved here for a very cool reason: to play roller derby at the highest level! When they aren't dominating on the track, Samson stays busy exploring the PNW outdoors, cooking up delicious meals, and playing the trombone.

Our NE AFC Clinic is Pleased to Welcome Belinda, Raluca, and Jeff to the Team!

We are thrilled to introduce three fantastic new additions to our crew!

Belinda joins us as our Occupational Health Manager. Originally from Arizona, she’s called the PNW home for four years. When she isn’t at the clinic, she’s likely cheering on her 11-year-old son at his baseball games!

Raluca is coming on board as our LXMO (Limited X-Ray Machine Operator). A true nature lover, she spends her free time exploring the outdoors with her dog and traveling to new destinations.

Jeff is our newest Medical Assistant. He’s making his way to the PNW after spending the last 17 years in Mexico (and Los Angeles before that)!

🚨 FACT VS. MYTH: The Great Sniffle Showdown! 🚨

Is it just a "little cold" or something more? With RSV making headlines, it's easy to get confused! Let's clear the air (and hopefully your sinuses) on the differences between the common cold and RSV.

MYTH #1: RSV is just a "bad cold" in adults.

FACT #1: While adults often experience RSV with milder, cold-like symptoms, RSV can be much more severe for infants, young children, and older adults, potentially leading to bronchiolitis or pneumonia! 😱 For them, it's definitely not "just a cold."

MYTH #2: If you have a runny nose, it's always just a cold.

FACT #2: Both can start with a runny nose! But with RSV, especially in little ones, that runny nose can quickly progress to a severe, wet cough, wheezing, and difficulty breathing. If breathing becomes labored, that's a red flag! 🚩
