Dear Patients, Colleagues, and Friends,

First and foremost, your safety and care is our highest priority. It seems like new information is coming out on an hourly basis, and we are all scrambling to keep up with the newest recommendations. The PDX ENT & Audiology team have spent the past week developing new office protocols and testing new technologies to be able to continue to provide the best care to our patients while maintaining their safety and the safety of our staff. However, we will ask each of you to please try and do your part to slow the spread of COVID-19 by maintaining social distancing. We are happy to announce we can offer telemedicine visits to each and every one of our patients. In fact, this will be the preferred method of evaluation through this crisis. The technical requirements are minimal, requiring as little hardware as a smart phone to be able to have a face-to-face conversation with your Otolaryngologist or Audiologist. You will receive specific information from our office staff about this within a few days of your appointment. Your doctor will review each case individually, and if there is a need to perform an in-person evaluation we will get you an appointment in the office to be seen as quickly as possible. Certain situations do require an in-person visit instead of telemedicine and your doctor will determine this on a case-by-case basis. Of course, as usual we are available by phone and can provide prescription refills, answer billing inquiries, and provide labs/imaging results.

SURGERY

For now, the hospitals are limiting availability to the operating rooms in order to conserve necessary supplies and and resources. However, if you have a need for urgent surgery, it will be available to you. On the other hand, if you are currently scheduled or intend to schedule a elective surgery (even a medically necessary one), we are currently on hold and will contact each of you with further details about when availability to the operating rooms is reestablished. Please understand that we are all working to meet the needs of each of you, and we appreciate your patience during this crisis.

Please reach out to us by phone (503-222-3638) with any questions or concerns,

Sincerly,

The PDX ENT & Audiology Family

Don't miss out on a money-saving opportunity!

Most healthcare plans have deductibles that reset to $0 at the beginning of every calendar year. As a quick review, a deductible is the amount you are responsible for before your insurance company will start paying healthcare bills.

As the end of the deductible year is approaching, it's important to make sure you maximize your health plan this year.

Now is the time to make some money-saving decisions because most deductibles reset on January 1st. Not all of you will need to run out and schedule tests or procedures, but for some this will help save money on healthcare.
