Cherrywood Village really took gratitude to heart in November with a remembrance display of family and friends we have lost. It gave everyone a joyful way to see loved ones faces, to say their names, and to remember them with gratitude and love.
We were also able to honor our amazing veteran's this month and to thank them for their service.
The gratitude train kept going with pet therapy, pumpkin pie socials, arm chair travel trips to Italy, and a special free lunch from Cherrywood Village to all the staff!
Gratitude may have been a theme for November, but gratefulness is a practice that is imbeded into the fabric of the Cherrywood Village community.

CherryWood Village welcomed kiddos for a treat or treating event, created monster wreaths, played balloon volley with a T Rex, made time for some Bingo, and staff kicked off our October spirit week with some fun costumes! Whew! Look out November. Here we come!

Each October, every Generations community participates in a collaborative art project, with the intention of bringing staff and residents together for some relaxation and fun. When we come together to make something beautiful, we reap the benefits of creativity and social connection, and it can give us a sense of shared purpose.

This is Cherrywood's contribution to that spirit and intention. The project is still growing. We will update when completed.

Our recent excursion to the Chinese garden gave way to lively conversations about art and culture. It was lovely to enjoy a cup of hot tea and listen to the light rain in this beautiful setting.
