CherryWood Village welcomed kiddos for a treat or treating event, created monster wreaths, played balloon volley with a T Rex, made time for some Bingo, and staff kicked off our October spirit week with some fun costumes! Whew! Look out November. Here we come!

Each October, every Generations community participates in a collaborative art project, with the intention of bringing staff and residents together for some relaxation and fun. When we come together to make something beautiful, we reap the benefits of creativity and social connection, and it can give us a sense of shared purpose.

This is Cherrywood's contribution to that spirit and intention. The project is still growing. We will update when completed.

Our recent excursion to the Chinese garden gave way to lively conversations about art and culture. It was lovely to enjoy a cup of hot tea and listen to the light rain in this beautiful setting.

Cherrywood artists and their masterpieces. Crafts are offered every Monday led by Gwyn. There are tons of ways for residents to flex their creativity.
We are also working on a new robust pet therapy program led by Barb. Pictured are some of the furry stars.

The Spirit of '45 is a tribute to veterans of America's greatest generation. Two residents of Cherrywood Village were able to take to the skies in partnership with Dream Flights and the Vital Life Foundation on Wednesday August 13th. They were given rides in a vintage Boeing Stearman biplane. Friends, family, and fans cheered these seniors on and honored their service. It was an exciting and special day!

The summer is shaping up nicely at Cherrywood Village. We have gone on excursions to the Swan Island Dahlia farm, enjoyed the fun of a carnival organized by our residents, and celebrated island vibes with a luau.
