Punarvasu: the Nakshatra (star constellation) in Vedic Astrology that translates as “again the light” or “the safe return”…
My Mom gave me this black star sapphire in my teens. I lost it in Lake Wisconsin at my Grandparent’s cottage. Years later, my lucky feet found it in the sandy water by the pier! The ring with arrows on it was my Mom’s and I’ve been wearing it ever since she passed in November 2013. Last month my heart sank when I realized I’d lost it at my friend’s community pool/hot tub. 2 weeks later someone found it and it was gleefully returned to me! This is a material example of the Shakti of this Nakshatra. Another manifestation, that I’m deeply grateful for, is the return of dance in my life… also a gift from Mom. My Moon (mother) is in Cancer with Punarvasu. It’s ruled by Jupiter and Aditi, “the mother of the gods”. It’s symbol is a quiver of arrows. Jupiter is transiting Cancer in Punarvasu until December 6th. As I write this, Moon is transiting Punarvasu. “As above, so below”. ✨
