For the 46th year, A.B.A.T.E. roared up the hill to our hospital, with bikes full of toys. An annual tradition, the group has donated thousands of toys to our kids, bringing joy the whole year long. Thank you for your continuing to support us and for all the smiles you bring with you!

A huge congratulations to our pediatric RN Ashley Cole, who was awarded the prestigious DAISY Award for excellence in nursing. Per DAISY Foundation, the DAISY Award is “a recognition program to celebrate and recognize nurses by collecting nominations from patients, families, and co-workers.”

The DAISY Award is given to nurses exhibiting excellence in the three areas of profound impact: nurse engagement, healthy work environment and patient and family experience. Winners receive a certificate, a beautiful, hand-carved Healer's Touch statue from Zimbabwe and more. Fantastic job, Ashley! 🎉🎉

We are so honored and proud to be a part of the thriving Vancouver community. Many thanks to Greater Vancouver Chamber for an amazing ribbon cutting ceremony and for being so welcoming. The Shriners Children's Vancouver clinic is the first of its kind in our entire system to be open five days a week, providing the most amazing care to kids in the Vancouver area, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

Today on Good Morning America, Bridget shared how Shriners Children’s expertise in pediatric sports medicine helped her return to dance after a major knee injury.

Her once-in-a-lifetime experience with Dancing with the Stars is a dream come true, and a powerful reminder of what’s possible with determination and world-class care.

Caitlin from Sewing Seeds, shows off some of her group's latest creations. Sewing Seeds hand-crafts stuffed animals, each with names and detailed backstories, to donate to our patients, and they have been doing it for years. Thank you so much for all the joy and positivity you bring!

We recently enjoyed a very nice visit from the Daughters of the Nile and their Supreme Queen, Kathy Walliker. We enjoyed a nice lunch, followed by a presentation and then a tour of the hospital. The Daughters of the Nile have, to date, donated over $77 million to Shriners Children's, and it was an honor to host them!

Yarra, a Shriners Children's patient, is giving back to Shriners Children's Portland. She raised money for Higgy Bears and donated over 100 of the brace-wearing stuffed animals to the hospital to be given to other scoliosis patients. Thank you for all your hard work and generosity - we appreciate it!

Radiology technologists, or radiologic technologists, play a vital role in pediatric hospitals by performing diagnostic imaging exams such as X-rays to help doctors accurately diagnose and treat medical conditions in children.

Working with young patients requires not only technical expertise but also a high level of compassion and patience. Pediatric radiology techs must be skilled at calming anxious children, communicating effectively with both kids and their families, and adapting procedures to suit the size, age and medical needs of each patient. They work closely with pediatric healthcare professionals to ensure images are of high quality while minimizing radiation exposure.

Their work is essential in detecting everything from broken bones to complex diseases, and we think our team is the best. We thank and celebrate you all for your hard work and dedication!
