Happy National Infertility Awareness Week from Willow Tree Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic. 🧑

This week is a time to honor the family-building journey and the many experiences that come with it. Infertility is more than a diagnosis, more than a number, and more than what most people see from the outside. It can hold grief, hope, waiting, resilience, and so much strength all at once.

So many people are impacted by infertility, whether personally or through someone they love. By continuing to share stories, raise awareness, and create space for honest conversations, we help reduce stigma and remind people that they do not have to carry this in silence.

We’re holding space for everyone navigating this path and sending so much care this week. Follow along as we share more throughout National Infertility Awareness Week.

Your face flushes, the heat comes from nowhere β€” sometimes in the middle of a meeting, sometimes waking you at 2am β€” leaving you drenched and exhausted. This is perimenopause. And just because hot flashes are common doesn't mean you have to suffer through them.

At Willow Tree Acupuncture in NW Portland, I've helped hundreds of women cool down naturally β€” without relying on hormone therapy (and if you are choosing HRT, acupuncture works beautifully alongside it).

Acupuncture regulates your body's internal thermostat, improves circulation, and calms the nervous system so those heat surges become less frequent, less intense, and eventually fade. I also provide simple dietary and lifestyle guidance so you're not navigating this transition alone.

Your body can move through this with more ease. I've seen it happen hundreds of times.

If hot flashes are disrupting your sleep and your life, we have appointments available this week at our NW Portland clinic. Book online at willowtreeclinic.com (link in bio), or call/text us at (503) 281-0030.

Chinese Medicine is often misunderstood because the language sounds unfamiliar, not because the medicine lacks substance.

Concepts like Qi are sometimes dismissed as β€œenergy healing,” when in practice they point to the body’s ability to regulate, circulate, repair, and defend itself. Chinese Medicine was built through careful observation long before modern terms like hormones, cells, or nervous system regulation existed. The vocabulary is different, but the goal is not.

At Willow Tree Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic, we do not see Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine as opposing forces. We see them as two ways of understanding the body that can work beautifully together. Integrating both does not weaken science. It expands the way we care for people.

That is one of the reasons this medicine can be so powerful. It looks at patterns, connections, and early signs of dysregulation while also supporting the bigger picture of healing.

If you have been curious about acupuncture but unsure where it fits, we would love to help you understand how it can work alongside your current care. ✨

A lot of people living with chronic pain get used to managing symptoms, but still do not feel like themselves.

Chronic pain is not always obvious from the outside. It can show up as constant fatigue, flare-ups that come and go, brain fog, reduced mobility, and the mental and emotional toll of trying to function through it all. Conditions like multiple sclerosis, autoimmune issues, and chronic inflammation often affect much more than one part of the body.

At Willow Tree Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic, we look at how pain is affecting the whole system. Acupuncture does not replace your current care. It works alongside it by supporting the nervous system, circulation, and inflammation so the body is not constantly stuck in a reactive state.

This work is not about a quick fix. It is about consistent support that helps your body function better over time.

If you have been looking for something that can support your care in a more holistic way, we would love to help. ✨

After a long winter, many people start noticing that they are ready to feel lighter, clearer, and more energized again. It is a natural time for renewal, whether that means supporting your digestion, easing stress, regulating your cycle, sleeping better, or simply feeling more like yourself.

At Willow Tree Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic, spring is one of our favorite times to help patients clear out the winter cobwebs and support the body through seasonal transition. A little extra support this time of year can go a long way.

Spring has sprung. If your body is asking for a reset, we’re here for that. ✨

Fertility is not just about the ovaries. It is a whole-body conversation.

Hormones, digestion, circulation, stress, sleep, and nervous system health can all play a role in how supported your body feels when you are trying to conceive and sustain a pregnancy. Sometimes the next step is not doing more. It is stepping back and looking at the full picture.

At Willow Tree Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic, we take a comprehensive approach to fertility care. That means supporting the systems that influence reproductive health, not just focusing on one piece of the puzzle.

Acupuncture may help support:
β€’ hormone balance
β€’ uterine blood flow
β€’ stress regulation
β€’ inflammation
β€’ thyroid and digestive health

If you have been trying to do everything right and still feel like something is being missed, you are not alone. A more integrative approach may help bring important pieces into focus.

My approach has always been about treating the whole person, not just a diagnosis.

Over the past two decades, I’ve built my practice around personalized care that supports both emotional and physical well-being. I work with patients across many phases of life, from fertility and pregnancy to hormone health and long-term wellness, and I believe deeply in giving people practical tools so they can feel more informed, more supported, and more connected to their care.

In my practice, acupuncture is just one part of the bigger picture. I also incorporate custom herbal medicine, nutritional counseling, functional medicine, and stress and anxiety support to create a treatment plan that truly meets each patient where they are.

My goal is to bridge the best of Western Medicine with the wisdom of Eastern Medicine so my patients feel cared for in a way that is both comprehensive and personal. ✨

Many people do not realize that what they are experiencing day to day may be signs of a chronically dysregulated nervous system. Digestive issues, jaw and neck tension, back pain, fatigue, insomnia, overthinking, brain fog, low libido, pelvic floor dysfunction, and even getting sick often can all be connected to a body that has been stuck in fight or flight for too long. Acupuncture can help support nervous system repair by helping the body shift out of that stress pattern and back toward balance.

At Willow Tree Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic, this is a big part of how we support our patients. When the body begins to feel safe again, it can start doing what it is designed to do: rest, digest, repair, and heal.

If you have been feeling off, overwhelmed, tense, or like your body just cannot settle, it may be time to look at your nervous system more closely. ✨

Doing IVF? Acupuncture can be a meaningful part of the support team.

It does not replace IVF. It works alongside it.

Acupuncture is often used to support blood flow, regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and help your body feel more supported through each phase of treatment, whether you are preparing for retrieval, heading into transfer, or moving through a frozen embryo cycle.

At Willow Tree Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic, we take an individualized approach to fertility care and meet you where you are in the process. IVF can ask a lot of you physically and emotionally. You deserve support that looks at the whole picture.

✨ If you’re preparing for IVF and want thoughtful, experienced support, we’d love to help.
