School is out and summer has arrived. ☀️ As the weather in the PNW heats up, it’s important to monitor our hydration levels. Did you know the easiest way to monitor hydration status is the color of your urine? Ideal urine color is similar to “light lemonade”. 🍋 This reflects good overall fluid volumes and that you are doing a great job drinking during the day. If that toilet looks more like “apple juice” 🍎 your body needs more fluid and it’s time to grab a glass of water. Recommendations for total fluid intake is half of your body weight in ounces. The majority of that fluid should be our good friend water. So next time you visit the restroom, take a quick peek at your urine color and grab a glass as needed.
