Our Story

Cosmetic Enhancement Center of New England started out in 1988 as a Medical Laser practice that offered treatments for Port Wine Stains and Tattoo removal. It has since grown into Maine’s largest and most highly-respected medical aesthetic laser and treatment facility.

Under the direction of Maria Atkins, D.O. since 1996, CEC continues to introduce the latest technologies and treatment options to Maine. By incorporating multi-wavelength laser technologies, a comprehensive range of non-invasive state of the art techniques, modalities and procedures, as well as highly trained providers, Dr. Atkins has made CEC the most successful and reputable medical aesthetic and laser practice in New England today.

CEC not only has a patient base in Maine, but has patients who travel from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and even as far as Canada to seek out the professionalism and treatment options that CEC provides.
