Join us in welcoming Beth O’Brien, RN, to CEC!✨

Beth’s journey into nursing is nothing short of inspiring. After a transformative summer volunteering in Indian orphanages and supporting women, she earned her degree from the Maine College of Health Professions and began her career as an OR nurse with the Dartmouth Hitchcock residency program.

After several years of travel nursing, Beth is thrilled to be back in Maine, serving both Hospice of Southern Maine and now the team at Cosmetic Enhancement Center.

In her free time, she stays active with yoga, golf, tennis, mountain biking, and travel with her daughter. Above all, Beth is driven by the joy of helping others feel good about themselves. 💙

We’re kicking off Nurse Practitioner Week by introducing one of our newest team members — Natalie Nicols, NP! 💉

Born and raised in Western Maine, Natalie earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Maine in Orono.

With eight years of experience in family practice, emergency medicine, and perioperative services, she transitioned into aesthetic medicine three years ago to help people feel their best… not just when they’re sick, but every day!

Her favorite treatment? Botox! She loves its ability to deliver subtle yet impactful results that boost her patients’ confidence.

Outside of work, Natalie is happiest outdoors — hiking, running, skiing, or spending time by the lake. She even completed the Appalachian Trail with her dad, an experience she’ll never forget. When she’s not adventuring, you can find her with her husband and their dog, McKinley. 🏔️🐾

Our Story

Cosmetic Enhancement Center of New England started out in 1988 as a Medical Laser practice that offered treatments for Port Wine Stains and Tattoo removal. It has since grown into Maine’s largest and most highly-respected medical aesthetic laser and treatment facility.

Under the direction of Maria Atkins, D.O. since 1996, CEC continues to introduce the latest technologies and treatment options to Maine. By incorporating multi-wavelength laser technologies, a comprehensive range of non-invasive state of the art techniques, modalities and procedures, as well as highly trained providers, Dr. Atkins has made CEC the most successful and reputable medical aesthetic and laser practice in New England today.

CEC not only has a patient base in Maine, but has patients who travel from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and even as far as Canada to seek out the professionalism and treatment options that CEC provides.
