To all of my patients,

I will be hanging up my shingle on May 3, 2024. After 43 years of practice, it is time for me to retire and try my hand at something new. Taking care of you has been extremely rewarding and a great privilege, and I have learned so much from you. While I know there are many things I will miss, I am also looking forward to seeing what different things life has to offer.

I have 2 chiropractors to whom I am referring. I highly respect both of them, and know they will take good care of you.

Dr. Heisel was born in Eugene, Oregon and has had an inspiring journey to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Heisel is dedicated to everyone he meets to assist with getting them moving in the direction of becoming the ‘best them’. Having an extensive education in and experience with manual therapy and exercise/fitness after obtaining his doctorate Dr. Heisel thought that marrying all his various expertise holistically would be a great benefit to all patients.

Michelle Remien DC, LAc has been practicing in Portland for 27 years, currently in the Hollywood district. She started her career as a massage therapist and incorporates a lot of bodywork in her treatments, and is also a licensed acupuncturist. Everyone in our office is now vaccinated, and we are all feeling quite a bit of relief. According to the governor's guidelines, we have now reopened our lobby, so you don't have to call and sit in your car prior to coming in.

I am adding more hours, now that I am fully vaccinated. You can schedule online by going to jancorwin.com, clicking on the red button which ways 'Request Appointment' and follow the prompts. It's easy.
New office hours, starting next week 3/20/21. All day Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. We have strict COVID protocols: both my treatment rooms have HEPA filters going all the time, I leave the windows open ( yes, all winter long!) and we are always masked. No charge for last minute cancellations due to any illness.

Just a heads up for Thanksgiving week. I will be in the office Monday and Wednesday , Nov 23 and 25. I don’t imagine any of us are having our traditional gatherings, but I hope we can find some way to somehow give thanks together. Even if virtually!

Things are changing at Circle again. Monica and Courtney, our front office staff will be back starting next Monday, Aug 3. After that, you can call the office to schedule your appointments at 503-230-0812. Up til then, you can still reach me at 503-318-6618 for scheduling.
It has been going well. We are still having people wait in their cars and each practitioner goes out to get them, to avoid having people wait in our lobby. We disinfect between each patient, everyone is wearing masks, and we wash hands constantly. I am getting into the new rhythm.
Remember to let me know in advance if you have had any known exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID, any sore throat, fatigue, headache, fever, loss of taste or smell.
Here's to us all staying safe and healthy and taking care of one another.

Okay folks - fasten your seatbelts. Our clinic is slowly ramping up. We have protocols in place to keep everyone as safe as possible. We are keeping it to only 2 practitioners working at a time, to avoid more than one person in the hallways at a time, and we are staggering appointment times. I will come out to the parking lot to get you, with hand sanitizer and masks from which you can choose. I am only scheduling one patient every 45 minutes to leave time for adequate disinfecting between patients, and payment and scheduling. We are not bringing Monica and Courtney back yet until we see how things are going.
Please call me directly to make an appointment. I will be working Tuesday and Thursday initially, starting this Tues, June 2. . We'll see how that goes. Let me know if you have any COVID symptoms : fever, cough, sore throat, loss of taste and/or smell. malaise. We will discuss how best I can help you without seeing you in person. Should you have any of those symptoms on the day of the appointment, just let me know. Of course there will be no charge for cancellation due to illness.
So, things might be a little cumbersome until we get into the swing of things, but I look forward to seeing you and helping you.
