Born in Brighton, England, Judith has called Portland home since 1976, where she continues to write and inspire. We look forward to hearing about her latest book, Virginia’s Apple, a finalist for the Oregon Book Award.

Members and guests of Terwilliger Plaza are invited to enjoy a live Friday Night Music performance by Trio Musicorum Medicorum, a Portland-based piano trio featuring Andrew Bonner on piano, Rebecca Reese on cello, and Alistair Leon Kok on violin. Formed in September 2015, each is a conservatory-trained classical musician who also works professionally in healthcare.

In our latest Meet Your Neighbor interview, we spoke with Terwilliger Plaza Members Terry Dalsemer and Gail Owen, whose journey together spans nearly 30 years—from meeting in a Baltimore book club to bonding over a shared love of swimming. Gail, from Maryland’s eastern shore, had a long career as a Public Information Officer, while Baltimore-born Terry worked in women’s health and psychotherapy, co-authoring a historical essay published in Women: A Journal of Liberation. They moved to Portland in 2008 and years later to Terwilliger Plaza, where Terry leads aging-focused discussion groups, and Gail serves on the Terwilliger Plaza Artworks Committee.
