Mother & Child Education Center (which hosts Bras2Moms) is offering a free workshop on breastfeeding via zoom on Monday, May 15th. This class is great for expectant parents and those with newborns! The class is taught by a lactation specialist who will go over the building blocks of breastfeeding. You will learn your baby’s hunger signs, how to encourage good latching and proper positioning, and how to create a supportive environment conducive to a positive breastfeeding experience. We appreciate the generosity of moms throughout the U.S. mailing us their gently loved nursing bras for mothers in need. Thank you so much. Moms from Oregon and Washington come to us to get nursing bras so they can nurse their babies. Bras can be very expensive and being able to share bras with moms who need them fills our heart. We also support anyone in care of a child with emergency supplies (like diapers), clothing and more.

Mother & Child Education Center is offering a 5-week Love & Logic Early Childhood Made Fun class via zoom this Spring. There is no cost, however if you can afford it, a $10 donation is appreciated to cover the cost of the workbook. If a parent(s) complete the series, they will receive a certification of completion. The course provides excellent tools for positively parenting toddlers and young kids. Please let whoever answers the phone that you are calling for an appointment with Bras2Moms for a nursing bra and make sure you are at least two weeks post delivery. We have stayed open throughout COVID-19 and will continue to stay open.

We have received many donations of bras lately from moms across the US! Connecticut, New York, Virginia, New Mexico and Nevada to name a few states. Thank you so much for your generosity. Moms from Oregon and Washington come to us to get nursing bras so they can nurse their babies and we all appreciate you so much! Hey - sorry there hasn't been a post in awhile. If you need nursing bras, please go to www.momchildpdx.org - we have a Bras2Moms dedicated nursing supply room...bras, pads, storage bags and more. You need to come at least two weeks post delivery. Questions? Call us 503-249-5801. We are open during the pandemic.

Providing no-cost pregnancy tests and connecting pregnant moms with resources, diapers, baby clothing, maternity clothes, and support 6 days a week.

Moms, dads, and grandparents welcome with babies from two weeks to 18 months!! (MCEC is located across the street from ‘s Trader Joe’s Hollywood Market in Portland, Oregon). Classes will be led by Leslie J. Munson, Ph.D., co-author of the Parent-Infant Interaction Curriculum.

Portland, Oregon Bra Fitting: Tuesday, August 13th, Noon-3pm or Friday, August 16th 12-2pm, at Mother & Child Education Center, 1515 NE 41st, Portland, OR 97232. Please come at least 2 weeks after delivery. There are other nursing supports also available - covers, boppies, nurse pads and more.
