Quad Inc. was awarded $5,000 from the City of Gresham's Community Enhancement Grant! ​

Our community enhancement funds were used to improve the outdoor spaces of our Central Station Apartments building. We added new garden beds and a garden shed to support our resident community garden efforts. We also made landscaping improvements with the addition of new trees and native plants around the property to bring pollinators to our gardens.

We are excited to see our residents get good use out of the garden beds and outdoor spaces at Central Station. Thank you to the City of Gresham!

Rumor alert! We’ve heard that there’s a rumor going around that EBT cards are being “shut off” due to the federal government shutdown. This is NOT true.

You can still use any SNAP benefits already on your EBT card. If the federal government shutdown continues into November, new SNAP benefits will be delayed. But any unused SNAP benefits on your EBT card from previous months will stay on your card until you use them or they expire (about one year from when they were issued).

If your EBT card isn’t working, check your balance online at https://ebtedge.com to make sure you still have funds available.

Two years ago, we made an ambitious goal to hold our first ever gala event. Unsure of how it would turn out, but confident that our 50th anniversary was reason for celebration, we moved forward with confidence that our community would agree. With your help, we were able to achieve our goal of raising $50,000! Thank you to all who donated, attended, and participated in this event! It was a truly memorable night, and the funds from this event will directly benefit the quality of life for Quad Inc. residents. Cheers to the next 50 years of this fantastic organization!

Meet Kathy, Quad Inc. attendant care staff member of over 16 years. Kathy started her caregiving career 23 years ago after moving to Oregon. She began working as a personal care assistant and began training as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Shortly after receiving her CNA license, Kathy heard about Quad and applied for a job. Looking back at the past 16 years with Quad, Kathy says “To me, I am going to retire out of here [Quad]. I have been here for so long, I really do love this place. I have learned a lot.” When asked for advice for someone starting out in caregiving, Kathy thinks it is important to “Be patient. Be very patient. Listen, and try to understand.”

Our 2024-2025 Fiscal Year was a success! We provided barrier-free, low-cost housing to over 130 individuals and helped 25 people living with physical disabilities find new homes at Quad Inc. Check out our fiscal year impact report to see all that we accomplished in the past year.
