Resolutions don’t usually die on Day 45.

They die on Day 12… when the kids get sick, work gets nuts, and your “perfect plan” meets real life.

(Also… 88% of people quit within the first two weeks, so you’re definitely not alone.)

The fix isn’t more intensity.
It’s accountability + check-ins.

In our nutrition program:
1. You eat normally for 3–5 days (we want real data, not a highlight reel)
2. We set goals + a strategy that fits your life
3. We meet every other week to keep you consistent and adjust as needed

If you’re not hitting protein yet, we build you there:
~100-150 grams per day moves the needle!

…and we manage carbs/fats so you don’t feel wrecked.

Your next step is an Inbody scan and then a goal review! We have space for 3 this week! DM us to grab a spot

30 days of intensity will result in less than 300 days of consistency.

Read that again!

New Year’s “jump start” challenges are everywhere right now

But for most people, they aren’t sustainable.

Want a 2026 plan that actually works?

Keep it boring. Keep it consistent:
🥩 Protein: ~0.75g-1g per lb of bodyweight
🌽 Fiber: ~15g per 1000 calories
🚰 Hydration: ~½ your bodyweight in oz
🏋️ Training: 3+ days/week, every week

Building consistency, showing up daily in both your fitness and nutrition through a sustainable approach vs a 30 day cleanse, rabid fitness routine or a diet comprised of only a few options, will produce the results you're searching for in 2026 and be a whole lot more enjoyable!

See you soon!

This is Coach Chase, lifting heavy, like always (yes, we all know he’s absurdly strong).

But what a lot of people don’t know: Chase runs our Olympic Weightlifting specialty program every Wednesday at 5:15 PM.

🏋️6-week blocks, just like Small Group Strength
🏋️Built specifically for sn**ch + clean & jerk technique and progression
🏋️Perfect if you’re stuck on form, not confident under the bar, or want more dedicated lifting time
🏋️Capped at 8 athletes
🏋️Next cycle starts January 7th

Want in or want details? Ask Coach Chase or Jonathan.

Holiday reminder: We’re closed tomorrow and the next day, so don’t make the trip.
Need workouts while you’re away or at home? DM/reply “DB WORKOUTS” and we’ll send them your way.

Ask us for one of these real workouts built for hotel gyms or a simple pair of dumbbells (not the lame 100 air squats in your room). If you're traveling or just need a few "at home workouts" for the holidays reply with "𝗗𝗕 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀" and we'll send them your way!

This dynamic couple is a staple in our 7 AM CrossFit classes, showing up consistently, lifting heavy, taking their training seriously… and still finding time to smile.

Two spots left in our January Small-Group On-Ramp (Wednesdays at 6 AM).

If you’ve been thinking, “It’s probably time for my partner, sibling, or best friend to join in all fun I have everyday…”
this is your not-so-subtle way of saying:
“Hey, I care about you. Now get your butt to Woodslawn and train with me.”

Same coaching. Same structure. Just a smaller group and an earlier start.

Questions or ready to grab a spot?
Ask Jonathan or Dan, send us a DM, reply to this email, write us a note, carrier pigeon, whatever works.
Just reach out.

We’re very deliberate in how we program CrossFit at Woodslawn.

Coach Ty designs our week to build on each day, adding structure not more randomness.

Here’s how it breaks down:

📅Monday / Wednesday: Strength-focused days, often built around 6-week progressions
📅Tuesday: Intensity day, what we call effort (think 9/10 days)
📅Thursday: Zone 2 conditioning and aerobic work
📅Friday: Either a CrossFit Open–style workout or an advanced skill focus
📅Saturday / Sunday: Longer, partner-based workouts

And here’s the important part:
During goal reviews, we help you understand how to approach this programming so it aligns with your specific goals. This is especially valuable if you’re limited on time.

🤷♂️ If you haven’t had a goal review this year… what are you waiting for?

A little post-lifting mobility is good for the heart rate, the forearms… and honestly, everything in between.

We lead from the front because we’re a coaching gym.

We’re not the gym that hands you a key fob, points at the bathrooms, and says
“Let us know if you need help with the treadmill.”

Every person starts with an intro consult.
We talk about your goals, your preferred training environment, and the challenges that have tripped you up in the past.

And we don’t stop there.
We revisit that conversation every 90 days.

In classes, in Small Group PT, in every session our attention is on you:
• Coaching better movement
• Keeping you training safely
• Progressing your strength with intention

That’s what professionals do.

We’re more than a gym.

We know your name.
Probably your dog’s name too.
We know why you show up, and often what’s been getting in the way of your fitness and health.

That’s not by accident.
That’s the point.

And we also know the power of a good post-session flex…
Try doing it without smiling.
It's not happening.

Thanks for being here
We are stoked to work with each of you everyday.

At Woodslawn, SGPT and CrossFit are not a hierarchy.
One isn’t “more advanced” than the other.
They simply organize training differently.

Let’s find your best fit 👇

SGPT is for you if you want:
✅ Max focus on strength
✅ 2–3 sessions/week
✅ Guaranteed strength training every session
✅ Smaller groups, more coaching

CrossFit is for you if you want:
✅ High-energy, community-driven classes
✅ Constant variance day to day
✅ To train 3+ days/week
✅ A blend of strength, skills, and conditioning
✅ Fast-paced, dynamic workouts

Bottom Line:
SGPT is not less intense → it’s more specific
CrossFit is not less structured → it’s more varied

Many of our members do both, having our coaches help match thier CrossFit days with their SGPT goals.
