Healthy Kids Day event, 20 April 2024 - Don't miss our sponsored event with the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette and the City of Tigard. Be sure to visit our booth and learn more about Tigard Recreation for Everyone non-profit organization. And how we plan to partner with other organizations to help "expand recreation opportunities for everyone" in Tigard.

Don't miss this fun filled day of healthy activities and wellness information for the entire family. The event will be at Universal Plaza in downtown Tigard. It begins at 10am and ends at 12 noon.

THS STUDD is sponsoring a drive for TTSD Caring Closet to help our families in need. Bring your new/used hats, gloves and mittens to Tigard HS parking lot on 14 October, between 1-4pm and bring some warmth to those in need this winter!

We are now a 501c(3) Non Profit Public Charity. Within 30 days we will launch a web site to link our social media platform and provide the public more information about us, our vision to expand recreation opportunities in Tigard and current projects.

VISION: Increase Recreation Without Walls Activities and Provide Fitness and Health Literacy Education for all ages. Raise the money to build a community recreation center-operated and maintained by the YMCA.

Tigard Recreation Committee (TRC) forms to expand recreation opportunities in Tigard

SUMMARY VISION: Expand City Recreation Opportunities for Everyone, through a recreation without walls concept and partnering with other nonprofit organizations in sharing resources and coordinated efforts to achieve similar objectives. MISSION: Raise the money necessary to purchase land and community recreation center. This vision and mission requires NO taxpayer dollars to achieve the goal.

The Tigard Recreation Committee (TRC) has filed for non-profit status. Once TRC non-profit status is approved we can apply and compete for local, county, state and federal and foundation grants to expand recreation opportunities in Tigard and abroad.

We are currently using the YMCA OF COLUMBIA-WILLAMETTE organization as custodian of Tigard Recreation Committee donations as they are collected. Learn more about us by clicking on the blue “LEARN MORE” button at the top right hand corner of this page.
