A little glimpse into our upcoming BTT curriculum 👀
APPLIED ANATOMY
How is anatomy applied to our barre exercises? What muscles move the glutes in table top glute work? Which muscles flex the spine in abdominal work? You learn this in real time as we go through our sequencing & practice teaching then dig even deeper during your time with Physical Therapist & Barre Teacher, Dr. Brooke Fleurent.
ART OF VERBAL CUEING
Language is so important! How can you be clear and concise while teaching your sequence? How do you keep your students safe while teaching in a large group fitness setting? We help you dissect this and put it into action while practice teaching.
HANDS ON ASSISTS
How intentional hands on assists can help your students integrate and understand the purpose behind the movement. Learn how to be confident while giving hands on assists as well as understanding consent while teaching your barre classes.
SEQUENCING, MUSICALITY, & THEMING
How do you ensure you are teaching beyond choreography? How do you add depth and purpose to your barre sequence? Learn how to teach a balanced barre class that leaves your students feeling empowered and successful. Can you do this all with the guidance of a fun and kick ass playlist? Yes!
PRACTICE TEACHING
We carve out plenty of time for practice teaching during our training. By the end of training, you will have sequenced, created a playlist, and taught an entire sequence. Don’t worry - we take this step by step and are here to support the process!
PERI-NATAL BARRE AND INJURY VARIATIONS
How do we make our barre classes an inclusive as possible? Again, Physical Therapist & Barre Teacher, Brooke Fleurent steps in here! She will ensure that you feel confident teaching a group barre class with a variety of students in it!
