🥕🍎 Did you know? The Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program (FFVP) is a USDA grant that lets our elementary students try a variety of fresh fruits and veggies as a healthy snack—often introducing them to produce they haven’t tried before!
This Tuesday’s FFVP feature is persimmons! 🧡 Students will get to enjoy this sweet, seasonal fruit and learn a bit about it along the way.
FFVP fruits and veggies are served at these schools: Astor, Boise-Eliot Humboldt, Cesar Chavez, Faubion, Grout, James John, Kelly, Lee, Lent, Markham, Martin Luther King Jr., Marysville, Pioneer Programs, Rigler, Rosa Parks, Scott, Sitton, Vestal, Whitman, Woodlawn, and Woodmere.
