How do I know I’m in my forties?

I threw out my back for the first time - so fun. 🥴

My husband ordered us those tiny 1/2 readers so we can read clearly but still be able to look up and not have to take our glasses off. 🤓

Oh, and I love watching birds and talking about the weather now. 🪺🌦️

As my dad says, this getting old thing ain’t for kids.

Thank goodness for naturopathic medicine!!

Supermodels ... they're just like us!

Gisele Bündchen was recently quoted as saying that she chose to consult with a naturopathic doctor to help address her mental health concerns.

"After a year and a half of 'going through all the specialists' and having 'one of the worst times of [her] life,' Bündchen, now 43, 'didn’t know what to do' and started seeing a naturopathic doctor."

"He said to me, ‘Gisele, we have to change your diet,' she remembered. 'And I was like, Diet? What does that have to do with panic attacks?’ And he’s like, ‘No, it has everything to do with it.'” - Page Six

I’m curious to hear the qualities you find most helpful from your health care providers.

•Humble
•Skilled in active listening
•Open minded
•Willing to admit they don’t know everything
•A lifelong learner
•Someone who treats the human with the illness rather than the illness within the human
•Someone who is willing to see beyond the current healthcare system
•Someone who respects both the art and the science of medicine

After a challenging but fulfilling 2023, I have taken some time to sit and ponder what I hope for 2024.

To hold myself accountable, here are my goals for 2024 ➾
📝 I'd like to finally write that book
🪡 I'd like to learn to sew clothing
💃 I'd like to take up ballroom dancing and rollerskating

And my wishes for you in 2024 are ➾
🪩 You hold fast to your innate ability to heal
🪩 You move more slowly through life
🪩 You don't need every latest "gadget"
🪩 You look up to the moon each night
🪩 You appreciate simplicity
🪩 You are brave
🪩 You offer time to those around you
🪩 You never give up hope

🪩 I will do the same.
