November is National Caregivers Month, a time to honor and recognize the millions of caregivers who provide essential, compassionate support to those who may need it. Caregivers play a vital role in helping individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, injuries, or age-related obstacles live fuller and more independent lives.

This month, we acknowledge caregiver’s dedication, resilience, and the emotional and physical labor they contribute—often behind the scenes. To all caregivers: thank you for your strength, your patience, and your unwavering care.

After emigrating from Ethiopia at 15, Netsanet overcame challenges through the support of her community and the INCIGHT Scholarship. Today, she works with Portland Public Schools helping families navigate language and cultural barriers — turning her journey into purpose. 💬📚

Our recent NDEAM Job Fair at Portland State University was a fantastic success!

18 employers connected with 158 job seekers, and we’re proud to share that 33% of attendees identified as having a disability — reflecting our shared commitment to building inclusive workplaces and opportunities for all.

A big thank-you to our employer partners, Portland State University, and everyone who helped make this event such a meaningful celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month!

NDEAM stands for National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

It takes place every October in the United States and is a nationwide campaign that raises awareness about disability employment issues and celebrates the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) leads the observance each year, choosing a theme and providing resources to help organizations, employers, schools, and community groups participate.

At INCIGHT, we believe in connecting job seekers with sustainable employment opportunities to help unlock their full potential.

Reminder:Join us on Tuesday, October 28th for our NDEAM Job Fair at PSU from 10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
