We are proud to support Immigrant Mutual Aid Coalition, a volunteer-run organization that’s doing vital work to support immigrant families in our local communities. Learn more about IMAC and how you can support them through our Partner Referral Program.

What is IMAC
IMAC was born in 2020, during the devastating wildfire evacuations that displaced many families in Clackamas County. Since then, it has grown into a deeply rooted, volunteer-led mutual aid network that supports hundreds of immigrant families two times each month by distributing culturally relevant food and fresh produce, diapers, hygiene products, and community resources in a safe, welcoming environment. IMAC also provides access to services like legal assistance, English classes, vaccine clinics, and “Know Your Rights” training sessions.

IMAC’s mission is simple yet profound: to provide mutual aid to immigrant families and reduce health disparities and equity gaps in our community. This group relies entirely on donations and volunteers, many of whom are former recipients giving back in service.

How the Partner Referral Program Works

Happy IBCLC Day!

IBCLC stands for International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, meaning they work as part of your perinatal care team and specialist in infant feeding.

The Bridgetown Baby feeding team are award winning IBCLCs dedicated to supporting you in feeding your baby. Whether that’s breast or chest feeding, bottle feeding or the transition to solids, our lactation consultants look after you & baby ensuring any issues are quickly dealt with & that you have access to the practical and emotional support you need to nourish yourself & your little one.

Having support can make all the difference in reaching your feeding goals. Thank you to our feeding team for all that they do!

We’re so honored to be voted Portland’s favorite Pregnancy and Postpartum Support in PDX Parent Magazine’s annual Reader Favorites contest.

Our team of 25 postpartum doulas and lactation consultants takes this honor to heart. Every week of the year, we work hard to provide wraparound care that eases the challenges of the postpartum period and helps families start strong.

Big thanks to everyone who made our Winter Essentials Drive a success!

With your help we collected three overflowing bins of diapers, menstrual pads and toilet paper to help our immigrant neighbors.

These days are steeped with fear and uncertainty for many which makes going to the store and to work a risky, stressful undertaking. Mutual aid is one way we can come together to care for our community.

We’re honored to partner with Immigrant Mutual Aid Coalition this holiday season to get diapers to families living on the margins. “At IMAC, we have seen a consistent, increasing demand for more food from the community. In the past year, there has been less and less food available to us to distribute due to the number of other sites also experiencing record visits. There was a 31% increase in visits to sites across Oregon in 2024 over 2023. “ -IMAC, April 25’

When we work together, we can achieve so much good for our community. We cannot always wait for funding and support from our government to help our communities thrive. We have to figure out a way to get what we need by working together. If we all make a small contribution, together our impact will be great. Join us in supporting the Immigrant Mutual Aid Coalition.

At Bridgetown Baby, we believe we are an interconnected, powerful force for good in the world. Each May, in honor of mothers everywhere, we bring our community together to support an effort that is making life better for families.

Last year you helped us meet our most ambitious Mamas Day fundraising goal yet! Through your generosity and a grant provided by a dedicated donor, we raised $12,000 last May for Portland New Family Fund (PNFF). Our efforts helped provide low income families with access to wraparound birth, postpartum and lactation care. This year we are proud to focus our fundraising efforts on The Immigrant Mutual Aid Coalition (IMAC).
