I’m beyond thrilled to continue my journey with Empire. 🌿

It all began back in 2018, when I had the opportunity to create travel products for their Portland International Airport location — a moment that felt beautifully synchronistic with the flow of my life at the time.

After relocating back to the Pacific Northwest in 2017, I continued to run my business from Los Angeles, where I’d been rooted for nearly 30 years. Then came 2020, a year that changed everything. Through that shift, I reconnected with my art and rediscovered parts of myself I had left behind when I first moved away from the Northwest.

Now, coming full circle, it’s such an honor to collaborate again with a local business that truly aligns with my values and creative offerings.

Sibyl the Flora has been a heartfelt passion project — and knowing it can reach people around the world through a brick-and-mortar space like Tender Loving Empire makes it all the more meaningful. 💫

This humble, edible, and smokable w**d carries centuries of wisdom. Once cherished across Europe and Africa — and now growing wild across the U.S. — Mallow is known for its ability to soothe sore throats, calm inflammation, and adapt to any flavor or environment it’s given, much like tofu.

It’s been a little while since I shared what’s happening out here, and things are really starting to take off. Some of the flowers are
Returning it’s like second spring!
I’ve been experimenting with a few new planting techniques this season, and I’m already seeing the difference. The soil is rich, the pollinators are still busy, and the whole space feels alive. 🌸🐝

Just rolled back into Portland from Idaho — left around 9:30 this morning and pulled in at 3, and wow… what a perfect fall day. I thought I’d be wiped out after the drive, but stepping into the garden changed everything. The colors, the crisp air, the way everything feels alive again — it’s like we get a second spring here in Portland. 🍂🌿
